The southern park of Idaho is absolutely gorgeous, and this drive will take you through the best parts of it.

Not only was the scenery beautiful, but the road surface was in good repair — on Idaho 75 north of Sun Valley, and on 93 to Salmon. The road’s twists and turns were easily navigated, even in our 40’ motorhome towing a car.

The Salmon River Scenic Byway is definitely a ride worth taking even if it isn't the most direct route for you...the vistas are beautiful, there is very little traffic and the river is mesmerizing. Be sure to pull off frequently and look around!

Traveling through the Salmon river scenic byways is inspiring. The country is magnificent as are the views. The Sawtooth mountains are a real plus as is the Stanley basin.
