Awesome display of the power of water, the falls are definitely an awesome sight anytime of the year but are more impressive during the spring thawing, if you want to see them at their most impressive time of year go the end of May through...More

Selway Falls itself is not the most spectacular falls you'll find, but the drive there more than makes up for it. In spite of the hazy skies and nearing very hot temperatures, the drive along the Selway River is beautiful. The drive starts off Highway...More

Not hugely impressive but a very nice drive up to it. It's history of man efforts to "help" fish was a disaster, but interesting. Lots of people floating the river.

The falls lie towards the end of the road heading up the Selway River from HWY 12. This is a truly gorgeous river canyon, marked by clear water, steep slopes, a recovering forest (from fire a few years ago), and a big waterfall. We watched...More

We had a fun visit to this area. We fished and camped out. Beware of the forest service campgrounds!!! There have been budget cuts and they have sacrificed on sanitation. The bathrooms beyond where the pavement ended were terrible. However, the remote nature of the...More

Beautiful river and the falls are a perfect place to watch salmon jump up the river. Drive to the end of the Selway River road (gravel), park and hike further upriver. Beaches and coves are good picnic spots.

Selway Falls is a must see. It is worth the drive and the wonderful scenery. Best time to see it is in the spring at high water. We drive up to once a year because it is so wonderful

The falls are a must see when you are in the area. They were spectacular at low water and we look forward to a return trip when the water it high.

Selway Falls is not on the Snake River. It's on the Wild & Scenic Selway River in north central Idaho. Your inquiry refers to an area in south Idaho.
