We did a personal retreat there and spent 2 nights in the retreat center. The staff is extremely friendly and the rooms in the spiritual center were very nice with each having their own bathroom. We ate with the sisters and went to their morning,...More

Historic museum at St. Gertrude Monastery is a class act. A must visit with displays of early development of Idaho and the Pacific Northwest.

Wonder, peaceful. Hospitality plus. Do not miss the monastery tour or the museum. Our dinner in Keuterville was great and a short side trip to the mighty Salmon River was so worthwhile. Our room had a very comfy bed, all good.

We had such a wonderful time visiting St Gertrude's Monastery. The museum was one of the best that we have viewed with well-documented information, pictures, and artifacts. Make sure to visit the chapel and walk the trails to the top of the hill to the...More

Definitely worth the stop to visit the grounds, the museum, and tour the Monastery to learn of its history, for Catholics and non-Catholics alike. If you have time for an overnight visit, be sure to stay at the Inn!

By taking an unplanned side trip off the highway to explore the monastery, we were taken by surprise at the beauty and tranquility of this retreat house. As an added bonus, the bells tolled announcing Sunday Mass which we attended.

The Monastery of St. Gertrude is off the beaten track and well worth a visit. It is still an active monastery with regular retreats, a bed and breakfast, and an incredible historical museum. The peace, quiet, and beauty of the area will overwhelm you.

I love the Monastery of St Gertrude! One of the most beautiful places on earth. Museum open daily & free chapel tours.
