Coeur D'alene is simply one of the most beautiful places I have ever seen. If you are any kind of athlete, enjoy the outdoors, and being surrounded by beauty, this is the place for you. The paved trail systems here are perfect, and run right...More

While I appreciate any effort to build and maintain bike paths, this trail was not what we expected. Maybe we were spoiled by the two previous days on the Trail of the Coeur d' Alenes, which was fun and beautiful. The North Idaho Centennial Trail...More

This is a really long trail and all the routes I have had the pleasure of visiting were beautiful, clean and easy to walk or ride my bike. Most of time the trail is along side a river.

We love this trail. Paved, well marked, beautiful scenery, love walking through the college and the town. Our only negative was our encounter with the No See’ems. These tiny flying bugs were terrible. They were so thick at the park outside the city we had...More

This is a great walk or run through incredibly beautiful areas. MOST of it is dog-friendly, but not all. I say just do it.

Much of the Centenial Trail from Spokane to Coeur d’Alene is urban or too close to the highway to enjoy, but from CdA to Higgins Point there are great vistas of the lake and a statute of Higgins at the east end for a photo...More

My friends and I rode this trail from downtown northwests toward the Spokane River. Amazing scenery and the trail is wide enough for both people on foot or on bikes. Mostly flat it follows along the lake and river with lots of markers describing the...More

We loved starting a piece of this in Spokane, Washington and coming upon more of it here. What a lovely walk through the woods (as Bill Bryson would say) and a piece through the edge of the urban setting. Take time to explore this

We love to hike any part of this trail when we are in the area. This last visit we took the far end, beginning at Mile 19 and hiking "up in number" for almost 5 miles. We are always amazed at how clean it is,...More

This trail is so great for walking or biking. Look out for the bikers though, because many think they own the road and rarely let you know if they are on your right or left. Much of the trail sits right by the lake and...More

I agree with JayRayBee's answer, also closer to town the Coeur d'Alene is lovely but much more expensive. In the Riverstone area there is also a Hampton Inn and it is closer to another biking path that is pretty nice as well... More

It might be too late to give you this info, but North Idaho College has what they call Outdoor Pursuits. They rent all kinds of outdoor equipment. I'm not sure if they do bikes, but I'm sure they'd know who to rent from. You... More
