Quaint restaurant in the basque area. The atmosphere was peaceful and the food delicious. I've only eaten breakfast here and the eggs benedict are my favorite.

The Basque Market has Palella at noon 2 days a week, if you are 15 minutes late you will miss it. It is a great treat and they cook it on a huge pan right outside the store. The history of the community and the...More

I knew that the Basque people had long been part of the agricultural past of Idaho but was surprised to find how much past and present members of the ethnic group had contributed to our lives. Presently there is an interesting exhibit of 3D photographs...More

My wife and I went to the museum on a Saturday. We immediately joined a tour group and went to a house next to the museum where we saw where and how people of the period lived. We learned about the history of the Basque...More

This is a small museum, but a very interesting one. I had previously only vaguely known who the Basques were, and had no idea they were so influential in Idaho's history. The people who work here are great, and clearly very invested in people learning...More

Although this is a small museum, they do a very good job of presenting the history of the Basque immigrants in the area. Excellent info on the sheep herding life and on the participation of their descendants in the military conflicts of the U.S. the...More

The small museum has some great pictures of the "old country" and life in earlier US times. About half of the museum is devoted to WWII, Korean and Vietnamese wars and the contributions of the Basque. Considering they have not participated in the general Spanish...More

The people at this museum were very willing to show you around and answer questions. The first portion shows what life was like for the early Basque immigrants to this country complete with realistic wagon and photos. Another section showed the contribution Basque soldiers made...More

There were some interesting points but much of the museum was dedicated to the wartime support of the U.S. and WWII. Didn't cost much but I didn't learn much about the culture, language or history.
