We visited on a rainy morning and found the experience very educational. We had traveled recently to the Basque region of Spain so it was good to put that travel learning together with this museum’s history of the Basques locally.

Very lovely, smallish basque neighborhood, with museums and beautiful architecture. We stopped at Bar Gernika for a tasty meal, including croquettes and draft cider. Excellent food, and the friendliest service!

We are not Basque, however, find the history and food of the Basque immigrants wonderful! The museum is very well presented and the staff are very nice. The tour of the boarding house was especially interesting!

Great place to learn about the Basques. I especially liked a short video of a 104 year old Basque woman talking about her experience coming to America and speaking in the Basque language. The picture that goes with this museum is actually of a restaurant....More

Quaint restaurant in the basque area. The atmosphere was peaceful and the food delicious. I've only eaten breakfast here and the eggs benedict are my favorite.

The Basque Market has Palella at noon 2 days a week, if you are 15 minutes late you will miss it. It is a great treat and they cook it on a huge pan right outside the store. The history of the community and the...More

I knew that the Basque people had long been part of the agricultural past of Idaho but was surprised to find how much past and present members of the ethnic group had contributed to our lives. Presently there is an interesting exhibit of 3D photographs...More
