We recently did the night glow tubing run thru Shallowford Bridge Tubing and had a blast. Watching everyone all gussied up with glow sticks floating down the Taccoa was an awesome sight. Felton and his crew were amazing, will definitely tube with them again!
My family and some friends visited Shallowford Tubing this past weekend and had a blast! We had people ranging from 13 to 40 years old and fun was had by all! It was relaxing but also fun with some unexpected mini rapids. The driver that...More

Please allow me to answer this question. I operate a kayak tour business here in Florida and get this ? often. Infants & Kayaking dont mix. Generally under the age of 3 there is not good enough reason to subjest presumably your child to the inherent risks associated with a outdoor activity on the water. They are too young to remember it. They may scream or cry and scare away any wildlife for others. I think 5 yrs is a good age. If they are under 5 I ask if they can swim. No...cant go. Yes...okay I will allow you on the trip but you must wear the pfd and listen to your parents. Every child is different....some mature earlier then others. As a parent YOU would know best...not a person that does not know your child. I took a 4yr old girl with her family and she did great....conversely I took a 7yr old boy who ruined the whole trip with his infantile temper tantrums. Spoiled brat did not listen to his parents. So it really depends on the kid. Understand that parents are responsible always for their childs welfare and safety. All rental or tour operators will have you sign a waiver of liability. Its not that we are not concerned about kids safty... but because anything can happen in an environment the operator can not control. Insurance for this business is insanely high...my #1 expense. Hope this answered your ?
