The train trip is ok but completely ununteresting. The two little towns at the end are full of nothing but closed shops and tourists wondering why they are there.

My husband and I decided to do the Blue Ridge Railway on our way to Asheville for an Anniversary trip. We loved it! The only reason I put 4 stars instead of 5 is that parking was a disaster because it was a busy weekend....More

The Blue Ridge Railroad offers a premium product now - "Premier Class", and for about $25 or $30 over regular railroad coach. We went last Monday on the 11:00am Fall Foliage excursion... Ann and Eleanor were our 'flight attendants' and they did an excellent job...More

I read some unflattering reviews for this 4 hour trip, but my experience was very good. Lots of scenic river views. Neat experience riding on an older historic train. The trip is 1 hour to MaCaysville, GA with a 2 hour layover before the 1...More
