My husband and I love to kayak. We found this business online and called to get more information. The person who answered the phone did not mention that the phone number was sold to them and the kayaking leaves from a different park. After spending...More

3 of us went for the Urban Tour; Easter Sunday morning at 10am. The Kayaks were easy to manage and Diane was pleasantly informative. Plenty of birdlife and iguanas. A very relaxing way to spend 1.5 hours.

James, our tour guide, was very knowledgeable about the area. The kayaking was not particularly strenuous but was quite pleasant. Saw some herons and a manatee.

If you're in the Ft. Lauderdale area, an unexpected getaway would be kayaking with the Atlantic Coast Kayak Company. You can rent a kayak or go on one of their ecotours on the Middle River. During the tour, saw quite a bit of wildlife including...More

My sister and I went kayaking and decided to go around the whole island! It's beautiful and took about 3 hours to do. We didn't see a ton of wildlife but it was still very pretty and there wasn't much of a current to fight....More

Thanks for coming! I've heard a lot of recent reports of operators closing up (Giving up on their constituents) lately on account of the wind, or rain showers. We do our best to stay open, even on slow days. I'm glad you enjoyed your visit...More

We went to this on vacation and had a great time. Staff was very helpful and knowledgeable. We took the full loop which was beautiful and worth the price.

I rented a single kayak to "refresh" my kayaking skills for an upcoming trip--and was delighted with both the help I received from the staff before pushing off the dock AND with the views along the Middle River after I pushed off. Great for beginners...More

Took the sunset paddle on the Middle River with my family. There were 7 of us -- 5 adults, 1 teen, and an 11-year-old. James was a terrific guide -- personable and knowledgeable about the flora, fauna, and geography on the river. It's a fun...More

Thanks for the heads up! Complacency is a precursor to most accidents. I'll remind my staff of this point.

We are always looking for outdoor activities that might be fun and different and thought kayaking on the Middle River would be worth a try. Atlantic Coast Kayak is located at Wilton Manors, home of the Richardson Historic Estate. Although the building is closed except...More
