Too many people, too little beach access.

CROWDED. We were lucky to get parking when people left. We enjoyed the picnic pavilion when it rained and the restrooms and showers, but there is seriously a shortage of public access beaches in this town. Way too many private beaches. Way too much traffic. Way too little parking, dining, etc.

Horrific... crowded beach
Jun 2020
Beautiful beach ruined by horrific beach policy. The change in public policy that has severely cramped the amount of beach space allowed for public use in Santa Rosa Beach has turned what used to be the best beach trip one could find anywhere into a nightmare of people atop people seven rows deep. There is a beautiful beach still there, I suppose, but it is hard to tell among the hundreds of tents and umbrellas crammed into a space that would reasonably accommodate a third of that number. What a shame. Endless empty private beach space bookends this sea of humanity sitting in a space that used to be a little slice of heaven. No more. No parking, no space—no fun. Please re-consider this policy. In the meantime, general, public, don’t waste your time going to the Santa Rosa Beach public beach.
