Too many cycles whizzing past to make walking pleasant. They got rid of the lovely snack van - it used to be a lovely place to walk then sit looking the view and having a coffee. The van owners always kept the litter down too.

Although there's a small amount of parking facing the lake, it soon fills up - particularly at afternoon school finish time when parents park whilst waiting to pick up their kids. However, it's really interesting to watch the birdlife here, and there's a board explaining...More

Leaving Ilkeston this place is easily missed, but room to park, watch the wildlife and have a good walk in a beautiful landscape and relax.

We bring our dog here for walks toward Shipley or long eaton. Such a beautiful area. Usually walk out for 1 hour along one of the pathways and then back again. Allows your to breath and relax.

Lovely area to walk round any day of the year. Lots of wildlife and plants. Plenty of benches to sit at and eat a picnic whilst watching the birds do their thing.
