My wife an I rented a boat and explored the waters between Marco and Naples. It was great having this barrier island to beach the boat on the river side and take a short walk across the island to the gulf.

Pretty beach but water not on same par of Anna Maria, Miami or the Keys. It was a bit choppy the day we went so that may have impacted the water. If your taking your personal boat, make sure and check the tide. Low tide...More

Each year we rent a boat and head to the island where you can visit with other boaters or just relax, swim and sunbathe. Oh did I mention on the weekends they have food boats there?

The water on Keewaydin Island was beautiful, so clear and blue. It reminded me a lot of the water in the Caribbean. There isn't a ton to do on the island besides collect shells, wade in the water and walk around. However, if you just...More
