Quiet day there mid week in June. Will definitely go back next time I'm in Marco. Beautiful beach and easy to walk across from lagoon side - liked it far better than Tigertail beach.

I've been told you don't need a reservation to camp. Mostly everyone I've spoken to just sets up and camps without one.

The island is free to the public. You need to go by boat to get there. We rented a boat for 4 hours and it was about $250. Rates may be down now that the high season is over.
