I think they would accommodate you. For us, we had a large beach bag for our things and had no problem.

We operate two DeHavilland Turbine Otter seaplanes. Each aircraft holds 10 passengers plus the pilot, giving us a capacity of 20 passengers for any time slot. All are window seats. Best, Key West Seaplane Adventures

The only way that can happen, (I know this for fact because it happen to us) is if the aircraft has mechanical problems. Trust me, skip the ferry. It's a long ride back and on that day, the sea was rough and we felt awful.
