Best way to get to Fort Jefferson!
Well worth the extra money to take the seaplane. Captain John was very knowledgeable and fun. We saw sharks, turtles and dolphins on the 45 minute trip. He very graciously took pictures for us also.

We had a great trip to Dry Tortuga with Seaplane Adventures! The flight was comfortable and we spottet many seaturtles, dolphins and a shark from the plane. We had some really great hours on the island, walking around the fort and snorkeling. Absolutely worth it!...More

My boyfriend and I took the half day (8am-12) seaplane tour with Marcus. We took a 10 person plane and the first flight out so we were the first people on the island (aside from the boyscouts) and we were out of the island by...More

We operate two DeHavilland Turbine Otter seaplanes. Each aircraft holds 10 passengers plus the pilot, giving us a capacity of 20 passengers for any time slot. All are window seats.

The only way that can happen, (I know this for fact because it happen to us) is if the aircraft has mechanical problems. Trust me, skip the ferry. It's a long ride back and on that day, the sea was rough and we felt awful.
