Did you know that the temperature of the turtle nest determines, in large part, the sex of the hatchlings? Or why shore lights must be carefully managed to ensure turtles survive and thrive? What about "cold shock" which is a threat to turtles? We learned...More

Neat little place doing some really important work. We stopped for about an hour after seeing the Manatees at FPL and learned about how the turtles were being rehabilitated so they can be released back in to the wild. Worth a stop.

Great spot to stop and check out sea turtles up close. There were four different species present when I visited and viewer friendly tanks make it easy to check out these awesome creatures. Definately worth a stop.

Wonderful exhibits, the turtles are beautiful and the work being done to help injured turtles is amazing. The trash that is in the ocean is alarming and so needs to be controlled, but how, we can each do our part and never throw anything in...More

Took our grandkids to Loggerhead this past summer. They really enjoyed seeing all the turtles and learning about how they are rescued and cared for. Great activity for kids all ages!

It's nice to learn about all the turtles they are rehabilitating. There is staff on hand to tell you about each of the individual turtles and their ailments and how they are doing. Our kids loved it. Educational and supportive of animals and our environment!

Quaint local sea turtle refuge. We frequent often to visit the latest "patients" on a casual sunday afternoon. The gift shop is a little pricey, however, all for a good cause. Definitely recommend stopping by.

No entrance fee but visitors are encouraged to donate. It is certainly well worth it to fund expenses for rehab.
