This was a wonderful visit. The Lilly pads were my favourite, like something from another planet! And the butterfly garden was lovely! Make sure to take repellen; the mosquitos were vicious!

We totally enjoyed our walk around The Kanapaha Botanical Gardens...the huge stands of bamboo, the flowers, the children's park (even though we don't have kids) and the variety of plants but the highlight for us was The Giant Victoria Water Liles. Oh my gosh...words can't...More

The scenery is so diverse and beautiful that it is a wonderful place to go for a stroll even if you have no knowledge or interest in gardening. But the more you know about plants the more amazing it is. Wonderful spot for a date...More

Take a stroll in the gardens and check out a large variety of Florida plants. Well kept up. Takes about an hour to see it all.

So great to have such a nice place so close! We have lived in the Chicago-area, where they had nice gardens. But it’s cold in winter, and lots of interesting fauna doesn’t survive the winter. It’s was a pleasure to see such lush tropical-type greenery....More

Beautiful and practical for dog walking since the gardens are largely shaded. Dog water bowls available along the path.

This exhibit was a delightful discovery! A visit involves walking 1 1/2 mile paved trail through what is really a trek through a tropical rainforest. There are several great "sub-gardens" along the way including a children's, butterfly, and Japenese garden. The walk is mostly shaded,...More

What great surroundings in which to walk. I bring my baby grandson in a stroller and he is fine to be pushed on the trails, surrounded by the beautiful plants.

Florida galore in all its green splendor. We did the other half of the garden that we didn't finish last summer because of the humidity. Clear paths and easy walks. Well labeled plants and easy to follow maps.

I would say April is the best time to visit the Kanapaha Botanical Gardens. It has been cold and except for azaleas, our flowers are not in bloom.
