I visited on my birthday with my husband. The grounds are beautiful and quiet. Would recommend bringing bug spray. Will be back. Gift shop was beautiful as well.

Strolling through the gardens in the late evening was very relaxing and romantic, under the moonlight! Bring your mosquito repellant. Otherwise. It is so amazing!

My husband and I, have visited Botanical gardens all over Canada and the US and Kanapaha ranks right up with one of the best. The pathways were clear and easy to follow and the layout of the gardens was pleasing. We saw some wildlife, a...More

It may be the time of year, may be a change in management but the gardens are very unkempt. Even the herb garden which should be good year round. We were very disappointed.

I saw so many plants I never knew existed like the African Water Lilies that are huge, the bashful briar plant that folds when you touch it, etc. They allow dogs also, so we take our dog on a walk there and it is so...More

This was a wonderful visit. The Lilly pads were my favourite, like something from another planet! And the butterfly garden was lovely! Make sure to take repellen; the mosquitos were vicious!

We totally enjoyed our walk around The Kanapaha Botanical Gardens...the huge stands of bamboo, the flowers, the children's park (even though we don't have kids) and the variety of plants but the highlight for us was The Giant Victoria Water Liles. Oh my gosh...words can't...More

Take a stroll in the gardens and check out a large variety of Florida plants. Well kept up. Takes about an hour to see it all.

So great to have such a nice place so close! We have lived in the Chicago-area, where they had nice gardens. But it’s cold in winter, and lots of interesting fauna doesn’t survive the winter. It’s was a pleasure to see such lush tropical-type greenery....More

Very dog friendly with water stations throughout the grounds. Very shady also. I understand dogs must be on a leash and there may be some restrictions on festival days.
