Water taxi was very informative and had a great time getting off and eating/drinking.
My wife and I also went parasailing, with So Flo parasailing. They were great!
Favorite place to eat while we were there was Coconuts! Fantastic food! Rocco’s Tacos was very good also!

Lovely view under the sun with a lot of beautiful views. I accidentally passed there twice on my way to the museums and was impressed by their clean arrangements and trash cans spread in an orderly way.

The Intracoastal Waterway is fabulous. Seeing beautiful mansions and huge yachts is a fun activity in Fort Lauderdale. There is no shortage of options from kayak tours, hot tub and other fun boat tours.

It is a great place to watch the world go by either on a boat or on the shore. There are tons of events from the Yacht show to the Boat Parade. There are bars and restaurants that you can access by boat or drive to so you can watch the baots.

What a fun way to see Fr. Lauderdale's finest homes on rhe waterways. 3 hours from start to finish if you don't exit the boat, longer if you stop at any of the featured stops. Ryan was a great tour guide!

Sightseeing, transportation, this is a major transportation for Fort Lauderdale. The Intercoastal waterway winds all around the city with many on and off stops. $28 for adults includes all day hop on and off at hotels, restaurants, downtown Los Olas Blvd. They also give you a tour and narrative of the mansions and ships lining the waterway. Highly recommend. Many different boats for riding. Big one has air and drinks.

All along the waterways are amazing mansions, compounds, restaurants and yachts. Many options are available including boat tours, renting a boat or going on your own along the walkways and docks. It's also delightful to dine and watch as boats command go and the tarpon make appearances. A great way to appreciate the area.

There are water taxi’s running all the time during the day.
There are many spots to get on.
Don’t remember the price, but I don’t think it was much.

What's the difference between water taxi & intracostal waterway?
Mike N

The inter coastal is a series of water canals that traverse Fort Lauderdale and go all the way south to Hollywood. The water taxi is a company, like a land taxi, that operates on the intercostal with various pickup points. They also offer information on the various waterway homes that are some of the most expensive homes in America. Go after 5:00 pm and its $15 per person. I suggest taking in downtown Lauderdale for dinner and see the homes during the day and lit up at night. The taxi has discount arrangements with various restaurants on Los Olas.

Yes... you can Uber to Coconuts! it's a great restaurant right on the intracoastal and 1 block from the ocean. There's also dockside seating. It has an Oyster Bar attached to it. we go there by boat. They have 1/2 off bottles of wine on Mondays and Tuesdays. Its located at 429 Seabreeze Blvd, Ft Lauderdale. there are also a row of restaurants on the beach a few blocks away from there.

Hi How do I find boat/ferry time to go from Miami to Fort Lauderdale using the ICW?
Dave L
North Miami Beach, FL79 contributions
Hi there! I'm not exactly sure on this one. I think the Water Taxi does Ft. Lauderdale area and then you can transfer to do the Hollywood area (which is south of Ft. Lauderdale). It's really a pretty ride and lots of fun. But I don't think there's one that goes from Hollywood to Miami. You may have to start in Hollywood or Ft. Lauderdale - but it's a worthwhile trip! The other option is for you to rent your own small private boat - lots of places in the Miami Beach area for this. And then you can explore the Inter-coastal how and where you want. Enjoy!

Where would you recommend we rent a small motor boat from to go on the Intercoastal waterway?
We are staying in Pompano beach but could drive anywhere.
Thanks!

I have my own boat so never had to rent one but based on reviews, it appears as though YOLO Boat Rentals would be a good bet. This won't let me post a link so just go to:
Yoloboatrentals and then dot c O m
And check it out
