- dr_foucaultFlorida265 contributionsSpeed. I am speed. One winner, 42 losers. This review is just for the track and its facilities. I was greatly impressed with everything. The midway with vendors still had some free product demos to be found. The parking off site and shuttle in were seamless. With thousands in attendance never was there a long line for entrance, food, or bathrooms. Food was priced reasonably. The bathrooms were clean. Definitively a place to watch the great american race.Visited August 2023Travelled with familyWritten 22 January 2024

Free parking. We visited this place the day before the race, so we got to see some cars practicing. The trolley tour was awesome. Such a cool event with scouts from all over the country participating. Scouts got to sign their name on the finish line and walk the race track, they had a movie night, tram tour of the facility and driver meet and greet with tour of the garages.Visited January 2024Travelled with familyWritten 19 April 2024

There was plenty of food stands bathrooms well kept. Probably the cleanest concert festival experience I’ve ever had. Plenty of space for breathing room. - Esc160976Orihuela, Spain180 contributionsDaytona International Speedway!Daytona International Speedway has always been on my list to visit. Having visited Florida numerous times, for some reason we never made it down to Daytona Speedway before. On this trip I visited with a friend who like me has a larger than normal interest in cars :-) We booked the tour easily in the reception area of the Speedway next to the museum. Our tour guide was very knowledgable and told us he worked at the speedway since he was a young boy (he was now in his 60´s). He told us about many really cool things he experienced over the years. On our visit there was no track activity. Some people might find that dissapointing, but for me it actually suited. It enabled us to actually walk on the track and sign the finish line. We were also allowed on the podium with the number 1, 2 and 3 position. All in all a very amazing experience. I always tip the tour guide after every tour I do in the United States, however this tour guide didnt take it. He said ¨your interest in our speedway is enough for me¨Very nice of him of course, but still I felt a bit ¨wrong¨. Anyway, very nice of him. After the tour we visited the museum. This is an experience in its own. There is lots of cars on display and lots of memorabilia. For someone like me that likes memorabilia in particular this was an amazing visit.Visited October 2023Travelled with friendsWritten 27 June 2024
- Ramsey FSan Antonio, Texas79 contributionsVisit the Museum. (Not sure that a tour of the track is worth it unless you are a big fan)Daytona Beach (the actual hard sand beach) was famous for motor car racing long before today's race track was built. I went to see the site... and visit the museum attached to the race complex. Museum has many artifacts and stories. I enjoyed them all.Visited August 2024Travelled soloWritten 7 August 2024
- Eric Cartmen1 contributionRolex 24 experienceThe 4 day pass we got was great. 4 races 4 days. The racing was amazing. Watrhing the mclaren lead the 24 hours of daytona I consider to be the greatest moments of my life. That all changed when the car broke while in the lead and made me sad. But other than that the seats were good they had restarants inside the grandstands and overall I want to go back.Visited January 2024Travelled with familyWritten 1 October 2024

We attended the Daytona 500 and overall, it was a very memorable day. But super frustrating. Now we certainly understand the weather couldn’t be controlled, and we understand that security was heightened because of the president being there. What we were most disappointed by was that because we had Fan Zone tickets, we were told to take a shuttle to the infield, then put in a line for an hour, then when we could finally see the end of the line, we were put in another line. After 2.5 hours in line, we made it into the Fan Zone only to find out that the drivers were all done with their autograph sessions, the whole reason we spent an extra $99 per person to get in there. A total waste. And we were there very early. Then, we went across the track to go to our seats only to find out that we could have accessed the Fan Zone that way and since we were there early, it would have taken only a few minutes. We were given terrible information multiple times by track employees who should have known better. We really should get that money back. And we won’t even talk about how it took another 1.5 hours to get out of Lot 7. They needed parking attendants. Half our party came back the next day and had a fantastic time. Might never come back but managed to redeem this visit with Monday’s race.

I went to my first Daytona 500 when it was still on the beach. Who would have ever imagined the possibility of a facility like it has become. The stands are awesome in size and internal facilities. There must have been 50 or more food vendors and restaurants on the grounds, plus another 50 serving various drinks, appetizers, you name it. Beginning on Thursday before the Rolex 24, wandering the garages, watching the teams at work, even sitting in an occasional car, provide a photographers delight. Moving around the stands, the infield stands, provide a number of perfect places to view the action. The vehicle displays, racing merchandise, and widely available benches to rest are great. The ADA service is superb, though admittedly, in a venue as large as this, there is still a lot of walking involved unless patience is one of your virtues. On top of that, the 4 day experience of the Rolex has to be the best value in motor sports. Where else can you spend 4 days watching racing and practice action for less than $150 including parking. This should be a bucket list item for every automotive fan.

The speedway has reopened for tours. You must get your tickets onsite for the basic tour but you can order VIP tickets online in advance. The basic tours sell out fast!! We arrived by 9:30 and the earliest tour we could get was 11:30. By 10:00 tours for the entire day were sold out so I strongly suggest going early. There is a decent museum you can visit while you wait and admission is free with the purchase of a tour ticket. You can also get a variety of souvenirs at the gift shop. The tour takes you through the tunnel to the track where you see pit row, cars running on the track, the lake, campground and much more. During a stop you get to check out the grandstand seats where you get a great view of the track and all that is happening there. This tour is a must do for racing fans.

Attended the Rolex 24 in 2015 and it was a great experience so we decided to return
For the 2020 event. We won’t be back. We bought the $125 4 day pass that included a hat. We arrived at the track at about 5:00 Friday night to pick up our tickets at Will Call. We attempted to park at the west end of the track and they wanted $25.00 for parking so we risked parking across the street in the shopping area. We were able to pick up our tickets at the main ticket area, but they did not keep hats there, which meant we had to go outside the track and walk to the will call booth at the east end of the track, which was about a mile away. Saturday, we paid $50.00 to park. The track itself is amazing and well set up. The race is fun, but the cost of parking is outrageous when we purchased $375.00 of tickets. This will be the last visit for us.

We were able to arrive an hour before the office opened and snag some standard tour tickets for the family (2 adults and 2 children *under 6*). We really enjoyed the tour. My son is really into race cars and her was very engaged in the tour and the stops we made as we enjoyed the tour. The information was very informative. We were able to hit several different points of the track and the media center. The museum at the end of the tour was great and the kids loved it. This was a great experience and I would absolutely recommend seeing this attraction.

First visit to FL we did the tour with two young children. Absolutely worth it. Our 9 year old is really into racing. We visited FL again in perfect timing for the Coke Zero 400 race. First, the seats were section 111 row 8. The section was perfect right after turn 4 and two of the wrecks happened right in front of us because that is such a fast important turn. If the seats were available I would have gone higher than row 8 to see across the field to the other side. Sound decibels are very high so being ear protection. Most importantly I had read reviews recommending the radio scanner for kids. My son was able to listen to his favorite racer Joey Logano talk through the entire race and it also gave him good ear protection. I assumed I would rent on site the day of the race. Rent ahead of time! A few days before the race a representative from the track called me to upsell some of the packages etc. He asked me if I had any questions and I asked where to get the scanner. He said I could prepay $60 with him or $80 on-site. I reserved with him and I am so glad I did! They sold out of scanners! Only those with reservations could get one! So thankful that man called. My NASCAR angel. I would have had a very disappointed little boy. He had an amazing time and a great experience.

Accompanied my husband for the all access tour, and although I’m not overly into nascar it was still a neat experience. It was cool to walk on the track and also stand in victory lane, see the garages, etc. My husband also really enjoyed seeing the media room and going up into the stands too. Whole tour took about 2 hours in total, about an hour and a half spent on the tram which is also narrated by our tour guide who was very informative and funny. Price is good value and if you want a cool little photo package to add on it’s only $5 extra per ticket. Worthwhile if your in the area looking for something to do. Daytona Beach is only about 5 min down the road from there as well.

We came to the Duel evening races Daytona International Speedway is an exciting way to spend about 3 watching 43 high performance cars traveling at 200 mile an hour circling the track Thursday Friday and Saturday are usually less busy and not so crowded as Sunday. The totally redone seating and bathrooms are great. The Cons Parking is at a premium. There is free parking along some of the roads during the races but be prepared to walk over a mile or more to get to the track. If you’ve never been to a race you may enjoy it.

I’m going to be honest, I had low expectations for this one, thought when the tour was so affordable it would be a 20 min walk around of some of the basics. I was entirely wrong. This tour was an hour on one of the trams, visiting and stopping at the places around and on the track. Was awesome to be allowed on the track and into some of the garages and the in field. This engaging tour was followed up by a free trip to the museum, as a non museum person myself I thought I’d skip this one but ended up getting sucked in by the exhibits and ended up spending almost another hour in there as well. Definitely worth the trip. Hope I’ll be back to see a race there soon!

It is not pleasant when they stand in front of you. But it is part of it. Maybe a thirty second stretch or ? If you are In a Wheelchair as my son , it is aggravating for three hours.

Planning my first trip to the Daytona 500 this year. It looks like there are events at the Speedway in the days leading up to the event. If I only buy tickets for the race, does that entitle me to visit and participate on those days? Alternatively, if I only attend on Sunday, is there anything to see or do before the race that should be on my radar? Thank you!

I haven’t attempted the race before. But I’ve done the tour. The tour in itself is worth seeing

I am bringing my teenage son who has autism and is obese to the Daytona 500 this year. He loves the movie Cars and autoracing, and this is his senior trip with Dad. My main issue is, its too late to get a hotel room near the track, so we will likely stay near Orlando and drive over. My son is a very big kid and although he gets around okay, walking a great distance may be difficult. I don't need to be there when the green flag drops as we won't be there the whole race, maybe only 2 hours. Arrive a little late and leave a bit early- what are my best options for this? Thanks! Hi, we are both reasonably fit but we did see that there were many facilities for any disabled person, the staff are on hand all the time , lots of lifts etc. Suggest that you contact the customer service crew, who we are sure will be able to offer assistance. Hope you manage to have a wonderful experience.

Hi, me, my wife and two kids (9 and 13 yrs) travel to Florida from Norway, and will be in Daytona 17-20 February 2023. We would like to catch a race at Daytona.
Neither my wife or kids are very interested in cars or motorsports, so we would mainly go for the total experience, not for the race itself.
Is the crowd and general experience good for the 250 and 300 as well? Or should we spend the extra $$ on Daytona 500?
Written 10 July 2022
The entire race week is fantastic. The crowd will be greater on Sunday for the 500. The crowd is massive and extreme delays should be expected, allow plenty of time to get into the speedway and to leave after the race. Since the rest of your family are not race fans you may want to consider leaving before the end of the race.
