With hundreds of things to do on Clearwater Beach, the main attraction is still pretty much its near-perfect beach (USA Today readers voted Clearwater Beach "Best Beach Town in Florida" in 2013). Beautiful white sand and clear, shallow water make this beach an ideal playground for families.

We love this place. Not many places you can fly to anymore and not need a car. We walk everywhere we go when we come here and never rent a car. I can imagine it gets crazy crowded in the summer...we've only come in the...More

Clearwater Beach is bustling, but beautiful. I walked in the morning and it was not crowded at that time although the main street of shops, hotels and restaurants seemed pretty busy later in the day.

We only visited for a short time but it was enough for us too want to go back very soon, the beach is like powder and almost white, the sea is gorgeous. What a place, I can imagine sunsets here are unforgettable.

Beautiful beach, nice beach walks, evening vendors, and the sunset was tremendous. Hawaii has beautiful sunsets ~ but this compares just as well. Warm water as well.

Spent the day at the beach. Found close parking for $16 a day just down from the pier. Rented a cabana for $40 and enjoyed the 88° October day. Soft, white sand and warm water made for a great day.

Hardly any shells on this side since the water is very calm. Go to Eastern side beaches for shells.

Hi Roy, It depends on what your plans for the day are. Near Pier 60 is central to all beach activities and is convenient if your planning on beaching, doing some shopping, playground and many "wet slides" for the children... More
