With hundreds of things to do on Clearwater Beach, the main attraction is still pretty much its near-perfect beach (USA Today readers voted Clearwater Beach "Best Beach Town in Florida" in 2013). Beautiful white sand and clear, shallow water make this beach an ideal playground for families.

Yes, the sand is white and fine and the beach is wide. However, it's crowded and parking is expensive and hard to find. I much prefer the beaches on the barrier islands.

You don’t get the nice shades of blue and green you get in the Caribbean and Mexico but the beach was very nice with fine white powdery sand and the ocean was calm and without any sargassum or other debris while we were there. They...More

Clearwater beach has been the cleanest beach I’ve ever seen. The sand was so white and soft I loved it. There’s cabanas you can rent a mobile bar which they were the nicest. I enjoyed my time there until it got dark and lightening started....More

We had plenty to do and the pier was an interesting walk. Had para sailing and other activities for the adventurous. The only downside was we went in July and it was HOT!

Love Pier 60 Sunsets, live music and entertainment nightly and of course the beach!! From escape artists and dancers to the soothing melody from Kimberly Ann singing with her guitar, Pier 60 is a must see.

Yes! You can not see the bottom of the ocean, but clear, not cloudy! In pensacola I saw they were battling sea lice, I don't think it will be an issue in Clearwater in September, but double check!
