Carrabelle is tiny but has a character charm only found in coastal NWFL. So much history from WWII training in this area. Dog Island, Crooked River, too many to list.

Have stopped by this place numerous times in the past 25 years and it always makes me smile. Don't drive too fast or you will miss it.

We drive past Carrabelle's Police Station all the time. It's small and cute - obviously an old-school phone booth. There really is a Police Department there - less than 10 Officers. If you get a chance, check out their website for its history.

Well worth the visit and trip. Added to the enjoyment of the day trip, along with the WWII museum just down the road. I highly recommend a visit to this town. We'll be back next year to spend more time here.

The story is more interesting then seeing it. It is simply a phone booth they used to recieve calls before they had a real station.

We stopped here and my 6 year old was just as excited as my husband. We all got a quick picture in the small station which is the size of a phone booth.

Stop just to learn the history and take your picture with this interesting piece of history. Easy to find on the main highway.
