This has been our favorite public for years. We usually visit in winter, but here for the summer this year. Great seating area at the south end looking at Longboat Bridge where The Manatee River enters Gulf of Mexico. The white sand beaches going back...More

This has been one our favorite beaches for years; however, in high season, its really starting to get crowded. It is a great beach usually clear, calm water. Not uncommon to spot dolphins and manatees. Decent bathroom and picnic facilities. Beach has lifeguards.

We visited this beach in July and could not have been happier! It was clean, spacious, shady, and family friendly. The water was perfect for swimming, not too cold, not too warm. The beach was perfect for tanning! Easy access to changing rooms and shower...More

Perfect spot for a beach plus picnic outing . Cotton white powdery sand, clear warm gentle waters and park like setting with trees and lots of public barbecue grills and restrooms

The sand is so white and clean. The beach was very clean. The beach is very long and has plenty of parking. The parking areas and the life guard stands were labeled very clearly from the road to find other friends. One morning the "Turtle...More

Easy parking and a nice, clean beach. We loved the changing stations that are placed outside before you get to the beach, as well as the outside showers. There is a beach cafe and plenty of room to park yourself for the day!

I am a Florida native. This is my favorite beach. Plenty of parking. The thing I appreciate the most is the mini changing stations with outside showers dotted along the paved path. Most picnic tables have grills. They do have a beach cafe I haven’t...More

I never actually saw people grilling on the actual beach. I did, however, see people grilling in the picnic areas. Perhaps their website will validate for you.,
