The Carpenters has now been in the hands of Sally and John for about a year. They are very experienced in keeping a Pub, serving good beer and food.

My husband is vegetarian, I asked for the gammon meal without the meat and was told they were very busy (excuse me while I laugh they were NOT busy) and they wouldn't do it, although to my mind cooking a meal with one less element...More

Cycled to the pub and arrived just before 10.30 on a Wed night to find the pub shut! Advertised to be open till 11. Not the first time the pubs been closed when you might reasonably expect it to be open. Very poor show.
