We have never experienced a team as dedicated to creating a life-adventure as the Kaskazi horse safari team built and led by Jo. She was personally involved (as she clearly has been for 12(?) years) in every small part of our family’s week on horseback safari, our first. 10 guests were supported by 19 staff and 17 top-rank horses—most thoroughbreds that had been thoroughly trained for the bush. Marvelous!
The staff gave the horses and riders top care and were super-in-tune with the smallest changes in each. Tara’s deep horse-sense experience boggled my comprehension. Three grooms cared for the horses behind the scenes. Our tents (sleeping and separate shower/toilet for each guest/couple) were set up, cleaned, moved to new sites (with our personal gear). The facilities team never failed.
The food and drink was great. Nothing lacked and all was creative. For a moving camp safari, I don’t see how it could be better.
Our week safari traveled between Kilimanjaro and Mt Meru in Arusha National Park. The variety of terrain (forests, plains, hills, desert(?), bog) was super cool to see and ride. Jo and Tara led the way perfectly.
Animals? Yup. And from horseback, they were uniquely special. What was better? Horses or animals? Hard to tell. The gallops on thoroughbreds across the plains…pretty hard to beat.

This is a great one day excursion. Easy to get to from Arusha. Ride with the zebra and gazelle. The horses will take you at any speed you want.

Well what can I say besides the ride went beyond my expectations. I loved every minute of it, the guide was excellent and had a wealth of knowledge and was always engaging with all the rides. The horses were fantastic, as I was a beginner I did not know what to expect but my horse put my mind at ease, she knew exactly what to do and I felt very safe.
I would highly recommend it to anyone wanting a unique experience.

It was amazing, especially during sunset! You don’t even need to be an experienced horse rider. The landscape was also really pretty and so are the wild animals!

The Kilimanjaro Elephant Ride was an extraordinary experience. Very well organized and guided (big thanks to Tara and Hansi). I loved my horse and the galloping along giraffes and zebras, the elephants, the landscape and the special moments (special sundowners, Booma visit, fireplace). the food was amazing and the chef took great care of my allergies. We enjoyed every moment of this wonderful days and we will come back.

The moment we arrived at the Horse Safari we were quite dissapointed. This is no wildlife and no safari. The animals (zebras, antilopes, monkeys) are living in an area that is surrounded by fences. They get fed by people.
When we called the costumer service the experience got even worse. The woman on the phone didn’t let us speak out. She got mad because we told her that this is no wildlife. She answerd „maybe you have another definition of wildlife. But for me this is what I call safari and wildlife.“ Then she hung up.
We couldn’t get our money back.
So we didn’t the horse riding tour. The people who are working there are very kind and nice. So we had fun with them and the horses! A sante sana :)

It is clearly stated that the ride is on a wildlife estate and due to a severe drought in east africa we are helping animals to push through a though draught instead of dying. If you would have done the ride you would have been able to experience it however you did not so pls do not talk about an experience that you never did. If you would have read the information we provide you will find that everything you accuse us for as clearly written.

My husband and I spent several memorable days horseback camping on the Serengeti with the wonderful Jo and Tara on Kazkazi's sturdy and expertly trained horses. We try to ride wherever we go, including on the Masai Mara the last time we were in E. Africa, but our Serengeti experience beat all expectations! The beauty and remoteness of the area we rode is hard to describe -- thousands of wildebeest and their calves, zebra, giraffes, gazelles dropping newborns in the tall grass. No Landcruisers, just Masai tending their livestock on land they've lived on for generations. At sunset, we enjoyed drinks around a campfire as horses ran past us as if in a dream!
