New Haven Green is the core of downtown New Haven. It is right next to Yale and close to many historic buildings. Good place for picnic in summer.

Always some kind of festival in the summer. Many open spaces for the dog to roam and explore. Walking distance from the Omni.

New Haven used to be all class....a model city. The Green retains a lot of this character, but like the city, she's old and worn out. Flanked by Yale University some columned government buildings and some older towers, this comprises one of the nine squares...More

The New Haven Green is the center of downtown New Haven, surrounded by government buildings (City Hall, Main Library, Courthouse), commercial enterprises (banks and shops) and Yale University. It is well maintained by the City's Department of Parks and Recreation but has a strange set...More

A good place to rest and recollect the day's happenings. A green lung in the midst of lovely old buildings.

It is a nice park right in downtown New Haven, the two churches look alike but they are slightly different. The view of the building with the American flag is nice.

Located in the middle of Down Town New Haven, this public park is home to different activities and concerts all year long, but especially during Summer time. You will find a few homeless people hanging around, but during daytime is seems completely safe. During night...More

A beautiful park which requires one to navigate between the junkies and the beggars. A true view of the extreme cultural divide which New Haven offers.

A time, that is, before it was overrun by (borrowing from The Standell's) lovers, muggers and thieves and trash thrown indiscriminately everywhere. General statement about New Haven's CBD, it's filthy. Just plain filthy. Weeds overgrowing darned near everything along with paper wrappers, cans, bottles (and...More
