Though this town is small with not many points of interests, somehow I like the peacefulness of this little town. I enjoyed walking around, visiting some of the shops, the church including the popular cake shop..where I had a slice of yummy strawberry cake! I...More

Tammisaari has its own Old Town. It is small, and while it’s one of its kind it’s not all positive. Good place to visit if in the city anyway.

Visited second time at this amazing old town and it seems that sun always shines in Tammisaari. Nicely renovated old buildings in old town with beautiful little shops and cafes to visit.

The Old Town is lovely but there is not really that much to see. There are other 'old' towns in Finland that are more interesting (Rauma, Porvoo).

Lovely church, nice courtyards and fenced inner wards. Traffic is also permitted for cars so this is not pedestrian zone and streets are quite narrow. Lovely sea front to walk along (not sandy beach, though) and feel the light sea breeze.

Nice to have a walk on the side of the sea side and to see the vortex door, a weird recent installation that had its part of spirituality and mysterious energy. All a local to find it, it's near the main square of the town....More

Have a wander around. The market square is super (you can view it on Google!) especially on market days. Within five minutes or so you can be on the water side of the archipelago which has got to be second to none for beauty. If...More

Nice old town near a lake. The Visitor Info Centre was very helpful. A couple of nice restaurants serving lunch.

This old treehouse area in Tammisaari is definitivily worth visiting. Wandering around a sunny afternoon among beautiful small and old houses with cozy gardens gives you a feeling of going back in time. Its nearby location to the sea will light a wish of "I...More
