You can walk to this trail from anywhere in town. We did this hike the 2nd day in Telluride after flying in from Florida. It was not easy! It was steep and rocky in places. Make sure to wear good boots or trail runners. The...More

This hike for us was a 5.5.1 mile round trip trail that was a challenge for us Florida novice hikers. The altitude climb was a little over 1000 ft. The trail is graded rock getting to the falls. We also went to Little Hawaii which...More

This was our 2nd time going up to Bear Creek Falls. We waited until the end of our time in Telluride to make sure we were well acclimated to the altitude as this one has a climb of 1100 feet in 2.5 miles. There was...More

An excellent first adventure. Lovely to walk along the creek. All the wildflowers were in bloom when we were there. The broad path follows the Bear Creek which you can hear as you walk. The falls are a great treat when you get there after...More

We did this hike the first day in Telluride and it was a great way to start our exploration of the Telluride trails. There is a lot to see, especially if you take a few detours down to the river on the way up to...More

My husband and I took our dog on this hike. We rode the Gondolas from the mountain Village parking lot to the Telluride town center. We walked along the river toward the town park and made a right on Pine street. It took us approximately...More

Fabulous hike through scenic area with a frozen falls at the end. We witnessed two small avalanches across the canyon from where we were hiking, so we were safe from it.
