Stop here at the Creamery
Sep 2017 • Couples
Full of original art and crafts of all varieties. You will no doubt find a favorite artist right away. You'll see pottery, weaving, jewelry, wood bowls, oils, acrylics, pastels, textiles and more. Prices range from easy gifts of $10 to personal collection pieces in the thousands. While you're there you can indulge in a scoop of ice cream and possibly catch the farmer's market in the summer season. Did I mention most of the art is from local residents?

Fun to browse and check out the bathrooms!
Jul 2017 • Friends
Yes, this is a fun place to check out while in Hotchkiss. The bathrooms are a work of art...seriously! The local artists display and sell their works which range from art yarn to blown glass to hand carved wood to paintings and much more. Great fun!

Great place to wander around and see local art
May 2017
This is a wonderful jewel of the North Fork showcasing local artists. They have a little bit of everything: paintings, pottery, textiles, jewelry, sculptures, wood and ICE CREAM!

High School Art Exhibit and Blues Concert
Nov 2016 • Family
I went to the Creamery for an art exhibit for the high school. There was a famous blues singer there who was performing with the local high school kids. It was fantastic.

Oasis in the middle of nowhere
Aug 2016 • Couples
We stopped in Hotchkiss Colorado on the way home just to stretch our legs. There was a little park with a dancing elephants statue so we pulled up. While we were walking we noticed that the Creamery Arts Center sold ice cream so we decided to get some. I was amazed at the art work that was inside! It was all very impressive. You even have to go look at their bathroom. It's like walking into a tiny forest. The proprietor was very friendly and helpful. The ice cream was great. Nice little break in the middle of a long drive.

Made me break my 'no buying' rule
Jul 2015 • Solo
I'm a potter myself, so I sort of have a rule about not buying more of the stuff, but I was stunned by the quality and diverse style of the ceramics at Creamery. The prices were below what might be had in a bigger city gallery. The paintings and other media were also top quality, so it was lucky that I was just traveling through in a rental car and could not be tempted to load up. This is right on the main street through town, so there is no excuse to miss it.

A good spot for activities and events, like a farmer's market, art classes, and more. Worth a stop for local pottery and other art to buy. Ice cream, too.

Lovely gallery full of local talent!
Apr 2015 • Friends
Wow! Was really impressed with the talent in this gallery in this tiny little town in Southern Colorado. The gallery had so many lovely things in it and we could have easily purchased several things if it weren't for the limitations of our suitcases. Be sure to go see the amazing artwork in the bathrooms! I'd love to have them in my house as they both are a work of art! Cute children's art corner too. Very friendly and knowledgable staff.
