Came here for lunch. Good service but I thought the meal was abit average. No wow moment. L’aventure de sucre meals are much better. Gardens are nice but botanical garden is better. Didn’t pay to go inside the chateau.

A bit disappointed as Labourdonnais did not stay there.Gardens very good. Rhum tasting good but there should be more interaction of the making of the rhum.

This is really recommended if you have visited the relatively close (by car) SSR Botanical Gardens as it gives you a glimpse of Mauritian chateau living of the past of a wealthy family in a beautiful home on a sugar plantation. It’s almost like Gone...More

We found this an interesting part of the island’s history and the setting is beautiful in itself. We did the whole thing in probably 45 minutes, you could spend longer but that got us around the whole thing and including reading the boards. My only...More

This fully restored plantation offers a fascinating history. Especially interesting is a video showing the extent to which the owners went meticulously replacing details, including finding a French expert to cast new fillegree railings matching the originals. All of the wood columns surrounding the structure...More

Worth a visit to see how the colonials lived. Not as many of the rooms opened as I expected, but a good enough taste of the luxury. Also had rum tasting, which is always welcome :)

It's about 10 euro per adult to visit the mansion and a rum tasting. No guide or other service.
