avoid the crowds of Muir woods and enjoy a lovely day hiking some first and second growth redwoods. For mountain biking head south the El Corte Madera but for hiking this is the bomb. You will descend and ascend close to 2000 feet, one must...More

We thought that there would be more to see here. Hoped for wild flowers and got a flock of turkeys instead.

A great walk to do if you are near Half Moon Bay. We parked at the lower entrance on the side of the road. The actual parking lot for the park has fewer than 10 spaces but a bunch of cars parked on the wide...More

This is a perfect little hike to venture on with your little ones. My 4 year olds were fine going up and down (total about 2 miles). The massive trees provided enough shade and coverage from the heat. The paths are clear and wide and...More

This was my first time here and thoroughly enjoyed it. There is not a lot of parking at the bottom so had to park along the road. This is a preserve so no trash left behind but there is an outhouse at trailhead. There are...More

Purisima Creek is a gem of a place with several trails for hiking or biking. The multiple paths along the creek are such an adventure for the little ones too with plenty of shade provided by the towering redwoods on the sunnier days. It exudes...More

Beautiful scenery - we’ll maintained trails. However both the North Ridge and Whittemore Gulch Trails have a lot of downhills- and if you come back to the North Ridge parking lot - be prepared for some tiring uphills in the return

This loop, starting at the north parking lot to purisima creek, then craig britton trail, was beautiful. The creek was still active and most of the hike was tree lined and beautifully green with ferns and big leafed maples. Don't miss it!
