We stumbled upon this park while looking for somewhere to tent camp while on the Pacific Coast Highway. We were hoping for on beach camping, and that was not to happen, it seems. Why? I'm not sure. There was a beach, a road down to...More

This review is for Sunset beach camp. It used to be more friendly place. We didn't like it this time, the host came in for rounds very early in the mornings on some loud vehicle. If you plan on buying firewood, better think of alternatives....More

Beautiful ride going into this State Park. The entrance day-use fee is $9.00 for seniors, $10.00 for others. WE passed campgrounds on the way down to the beach which appeared to have nice large sites. I was glad to see so many tent campers among the...More

My family went to this beach in the morning and again in the evening. The coastal fog prevented us from watching the sunset but the lack of crowds was a bonus. We basically had the whole beach to ourselves. The walking path was well maintained...More

Nice and clean. Hot coin showers available at campsites. Can walk or drive to beach from campsites. Ample parking. It can be a bit chilly in the evenings, even in summer.

While the parking at this park is limited, it has the effect of limiting the number of people on the beach. We were able to enjoy a quiet afternoon on the beach. It was a bit windy but beautiful.

I love that this beach is never very crowded, and even when there are more people down there, the beach is so long and wide you can always find some space to yourself. It's very flat and can be quite windy. It's the best place...More

Was excited when I saw and read the reviews and totally went to find sand dollars. I did manage to find some pieces, but not any in a whole. If you are thinking of going, I had more success at the beach to the south,...More

I just needed a good campsite for the night and never having stayed near the beach, I found it to be good place for motorcyclists.

I took my grandkids to Sunset Beach they loved it. We even found a real live jellyfish. We walk the beach and collect seashells. And they enjoyed watching the people surf you there. That was a really beautiful view

They do not sell ice. They only sell firewood. There is not a general store here. The fire pit in the campsite was great. It had pretty tall sides so was safe for the kids. It had an attached grill that was nice and we ended... More
