This is an unusual and very good attraction focused on local California species (especially birds, but also reptiles, amphibians, and mammals), beautifully set up for children but with much of interest to adults, including close-up interactions with rehabilitators, and lots of live raptors.
Great, well-maintained wildlife museum! Very nice, informative and friendly people work there who appear to enjoy their jobs. Great place for kids, especially those ages 2-4 as many animal exhibits have portals at young kids’ height making it easy for the little ones to see....More

Relatively small place but houses good many living species of birds and reptiles, the place also has an avian hospital in house. Live Shows are arranged to explain features of rare birds. Very educative experience for students of all age.

We've taken our grandkids here several times. Sometimes the waiting for feedings and other special events has seemed long and seating very limited. The wildlife and the staff are worth waiting for, however.
