Don't bother bringing young kids here. Maybe 6-7 and up would be good. We went here when my daughter was 3, and she didn't "get" it. Very interesting museum of the history of Vallejo and Mare Island, though. The periscope is cool, you can see...More

This museum is housed in the old town hall. One gallery provides a history of the area. It is concentrated mainly in the 1900s, but it does have some exhibits from an earlier period. This gallery also has a sports hall of fame for Vallejo....More

Well worth the visit. Quiet and thoughtful exposition of a small town with a great past. A great welcome too. The ferry ride from San Francisco was all part of the excursion.

We go here 3-4 times a year to see what is new. Excellent facility. Like the periscope from a WWII submarine at the top. You can see Golden Gate bridge on a clear day. It's fun.
