Horrible service they claimed they canceled due to weather yet other balloon companies ran that day. They will not refund money. They couldn't even call us to notify us flight was canceled we showed up to nothing. DON'T BOOK WITH THIS COMPANY

Great experience but NOT COVID SAFE. Overall, my partner and I enjoyed the trip. There were incredible views, in-flight champagne, and photos. I would highly recommend this experience. However, I would not recommend this to those who are at-risk for covid or have covid concerns. (We were already there when we realized.) They barely made an efffort to be covid safe. No gloves were worn. Majority of the event was not socially distant. The staff did a poor job at encouraging people to wear masks, and at times, the staff also took off their masks. The only thing they did was take people's tempature in the beginning. Also, there is a mandatory $25 tip per person or $50 per couple at the end. Wish we knew that beforehand! I highly recommend bringing the tip in cash because we felt uncomfortable writing down our credit card information on a piece of paper.

I bought a hot air balloon ride for two over a year ago and it got canceled three times. They don't refund your money they just allow you to reschedule. I was hesitant to go during COVID but they said they were taking precautions, requiring masks and doing temperature checks. When we arrived a number of the staff were not wearing masks. The check in lady kept removing her mask to talk to people. There were no temperature checks as stated before. Then they load you into a shuttle bus with 20 people, a driver not wearing a mask and no open windows. They also did not enforce mask wearing as one man was not wearing his. If you are worried at all about COVID avoid this balloon company. They do not take safety seriously. As for rescheduling I'm giving up and losing all my money because I value my health. I will not be recommending this company to anyone, in fact quite the opposite I'll be telling people to stay away.

SunRise Balloons made for an incredibly easy and relaxing morning adventure. We had the pleasure of riding with Charley (who answered even our most obscure questions) and photographer Deanna (personable, funny, and creative with her picture direction) who left us feeling like we’d just taken our first hot air balloon ride with some good friends. We started promptly at 6am, and fortunately, the weather was spectacular. Temps started out at 44°F and then rose to around 68°-70°F, giving views from the ocean and Oceanside to the west and beyond Lake Elsinore to the north. The profesional pics were stunning enough, we didn’t need to take many of our own. The few I managed to take are posted below. Being able to walk INSIDE the semi-inflate balloon before take off is pretty neat as well, and gives a better idea of how it all operates. One passenger in our basket was extremely nervous about heights, but once we were airborne, she even mentioned how it felt like an “outdoor elevator”. (Accurate-but-understated descriptor) This is a great trip for up to 16 people in a group and would definitely recommend using SunRise again. Pro Tips: - Temperatures vary from the heat of the balloon to the cool air, so dressing in layers is a smart move. - Pay attention to the outer sides of the balloon basket, where it can get REALLY hot on top of your head. - USE THE RESTROOM. Airtime ranges anywhere from 45min -2 hours (depending on weather) and being stuck up there with nowhere to go could turn an enjoyable view into a reminder of all those adult diaper ads you never thought you needed until then. - If you opt to spend the extra $60 for the HD video of your experience, *make it fun* so it’s worth it
