Historic area where you can learn about it just by walking around; get some shopping done; buy groceries; dine at a restaurant. Pretty decent area to explore.

A number of restaurants are located here; also a few shops. I kept driving around the neighborhood to be sure I wasn't missing something... Not exactly what I was hoping for.

This neighborhoods better days seem to be behind it. We visited on a Tuesday afternoon and there was frankly not a lot to see. There were a few benches with historical stories. The Buddhist temple exterior was beautiful. Not really any shops to speak of. There were a few restaurants but we weren't ready for dinner.

We like to go to Japan Town in the San Jose area. This time we went to get lunch at one of the local restaurants. There is also a good grocery store, generall stores, and lots of history.

I enjoyed the historical aspect of this part of town. The Japanese community is well rooted in the San Jose culture. I also enjoyed eating at multiple different locations in this town - include Sento Market.

Did expect more shops with Japanese themed goods. Only found a few. Lots of restuarants. But it was a quiet experience. We went to the Sunday Farmers Market nearby which, although very small seemed to have more activity. Great place for fresh produce/samples and baked goods but nothing else.
