This place is quirky, cool, and chockablock full of history. Plan your trip around the tomb visit & take the time to explore the rooms and marvel at the many displays contained within its walls. SO WORTH THE TIME.

The tour guides were really great and informative. It was a great review for my students after they took their unit on Ancient Egypt. They also asked really great questions to guide critical thinking.

This is a quirky little museum with more than I expected. Some actual mummies and authentic ancient Egyptian relics. In my opinion the only thing missing is a gift shop.

This is a very manageable sized museum with a fantastic collection and incredible curation. They make it easy to navigate and relevant to the viewer. They also run engaging programs such as papyrus writing, perfume and oils of ancient Egypt and mummy workshops! The place...More

This museum was a great place to kill some time and for 9 dollars it is an absolute bargain considering the amount of content there is inside. We saw a lot of school trips whilst we were looking around and the staff were brilliant with...More

We always wanted to go to this museum and finally we did. The exhibitions were wonderful -- entertaining and educational. The "secret passage" was really fun. Added bonus: the grounds with pillars and ponds. Hard to believe this was in the city! You should go!

I've been to Egypt and this place just brings back the great memories and feelings of being there. The authenticity of the artifacts and the models of the tombs can't be found in very many places anywhere in the USA. The lectures and featured presentations...More

What a neat museum in San Jose. I learned a lot. Tom was more into it. Positive people make something that would seem to be boring really interesting.

This wonderful museum is not the British Museum - it is quite do-able in 2-3 hours depending upon your level of interest. It is quite impressive and ahd gardend and a labyrinth, too.

The museum is kid-friendly. I didn't see anything that would frighten a 5 year old. They have an area with kid-friendly and touchable items. One section has an optional walk-through room section that resembles the inside... More

Probably Caltrain from the City to San Jose and then Uber or a taxi to the museum. You can 'google' Caltrain for the cost, schedule and station locations.
