An easy leashed-dog-friendly walk that will probably not challenge any but those who cannot handle a 4-mile stroll over sometimes uneven surface - e.g., kids under 5 and adults with serious ambulatory limitations. Beautiful scenery with a fair amount of shade. We took this walk...More

A small peaceful lake. Beautiful scenery. Plenty of parking. Not much to do in the springtime other than relax and enjoy the view.

We were at a time at Christmas Say with some snow on the beach. The water level was low. The walk a long the shoreline was peaceful and nice. We all enjoyed it.

Great little lake in the sierras. This is a great place to take the family camping on vacation. The main camp ground requires reservations. You must make these well in advance, 6-8 months. There is another campground nearby that is first come-first served. No reservations...More

Pinecrest Lake is like an old friend; always there to greet you no matter what the season. Having said that, the seasons matter if you want to avoid the crowds. There is a short window after labor day before the campgrounds close and the snows...More

Well maintained, good for kids, stay away from the restaurant. Take the walk around the lake. Fabulous and flat. If you can rent a pontoon boat. Fun!!!!!

You need a reservation far ahead of time for the summer months and Labor Day. You are likely to get last minute reservations in the Fall.
