We enjoyed a few hours walking through these streets and neighborhood and a great change of pace from the modern large-scale shopping centers. Although be forewarned and good news or bad news depending upon your preference, you won't find any big box stores!

Yes, there are kitchen-y stores in Sonoma (and other towns in the area) but this one is the best! If you can make it to Petaluma for the day or even 1/2 day this store is where to shop. Staff is always friendly and helpful,...More

This downtown area seems to be thriving. There are lots of fun shops, Great gifts, clothing, furniture and antiques along with the many restaurants. There is a small walking trail along the river which really needs attention and expansion. Just off from the main streets,...More

Lovely Center City of Petaluma - Much to see. So many fun stores and eateries to visit in this downtown area of Petaluma. We loved coperfield's Bookstore, Hotel Petaluma, hallie's diner, and the art gallery. There are many consignment and antique shops.

Could wander this place for hours. Don't miss the second floor, bank vault and basement, ownership and staff were involved and fun to talk to, I don't know much about antiques, but what a fun way to spend an afternoon

You can spend hours looking around this place, even if you're not an antique person. There are groups of antiques from many different estates. If you're looking for anything particular, you need to browse for it yourself as the people who work there only know...More

Loved the vine of this area dotted with restaurants, bars and stores. The traffic was manageable the parking surprisingly easy and the walk fun.

While you're browsing the antique stores, don't miss specialty shops like iLeoni - a great store for cook, chef & kitchen wares. Very knowledgeable, friendly & helpful staff.
