Swan's Market is the Bay Areas greatest foodcourt with options including pizza, sushi, Mexican, fresh oysters, sausages and afro-Carribbean. Now in our 100th year, Swan's Market is the modern incarnation of Oakland's original central market.

This place is a Oakland fixture fir a log time. Having said thus, I'm disappointed in the look and feel. No buzz.

We like this area because there is a farmers market, and the Oakland Public Library has its used book store close by. This is a very nice market to drop into.

Mexican? Japanese? German? Soul food? Farm to table? Or just a trip to the meat counter - a great market in downtown Oakland. Toilets are good - locked with code you can get from any restaurant. Eat here then go explore oakland!

Ate here in evening, it was like a mall's food court with 5 vendors, 1 was closed. It's pretty much hit or miss. We had a tasty pizza and fantastic grill cheese sandwich. We tried some of the Japanese, but where disappointed.

This is a good place to go when the people in your group can't agree on what they want to eat (or if you're just in the mood for B-Dama's amazing fried chicken). Get a beer from Rosamunde and choose Cali-mex, japanese, pizza, oysters, seafood,...More

There is food for everyone at Swan's Market. The market is centrally located (near City Center). Best to take public transportation, not many opportunities for free parking. On Friday the street is blocked off and there are food trucks, along with the Farmers Market.
