Come for the geology and flora. Read up on the amazing geosyncline exposure. Climb over the rocks on the beach. Hike up to the highest point. Parking is free. There's a small interpretative display. Public bathrooms.

docents make this place the special attraction that it is. marine mammals, invertebrates in the tidepools including eels, starfish, urchins, anenomes. parking is easy and nice walks on the bluffs bring water and warmer clothing for windy days

It's a small area. Free parking, a few picnic tables, restrooms. There were many educational things to read. Rangers were on hand to answer questions from the kids. Enjoyed a bunch!

Been here a few times and have always enjoyed the scenery. The woods above and the coast below make it great place for the nature lover.

Low tide during our visits were not exceptionally low (best for viewing ≤ 1 foot). But plenty of critters to see in the tide pools. Hermit crabs, anemones small fishes, etc. Look for ward to our next visit at very low tides to see more!

We had a blast climbing on the rocks and looking at the tidal pools . The scenery was breathtaking and the seals were really cool

We did not go at the lowest tide but a couple of hours after low tide. We saw lots of crabs and small fish. There were interesting worms and seaweed. We will definitely go back at lowst tide.

The James Fitzgerald Marine Preserve is such a great place to visit. Go on a Saturday when Docents teach about the creatures you see- and the ones you would otherwise miss. Check the weather before you go. It could be warm or cold, and you...More

HI. It's in Moss Beach and you need to turn on the street that will lead you to the Moss Beach Distillery Restaurant. You can also follow the directions to the Seal Cove Inn, a wonderful Bed and Breakfast.
