This was a lovely peaceful space with lots of atmosphere and our favourite of the old buildings to see in the old city.

The temple was included in the city combon ticket. We walked in the south entrance and out the north entrance. The area was very interesting. Exhibits showing writing and other items used for day to day life. The main building is very old.

There are not a lot of Confucian temples in traditional tourist circuits so take the opportunity to visit this one. A nice temps with statues of Conficius and small bridges over water.

Not so much a temple as a memorial to the great philosopher and well worth a visit as you wander around Pingyao.

If you go to the top of main building all the way in the back, it provides a good panoramic view of Pingyao Ancient City.

It worth to have a look as you pass by, but there are more interesting temples in China. There is nothing particular to see in this temple.

A quiet temple with few people vs. the crowded streets outside its perimeter. We enjoyed delving deeper into the beliefs of confucianism.

If you visit the wall of the city and low through the door this arrived directly at the main entrance of the Temple of Confucius, beautiful spaces where reside several fairly new buildings with new images also, and shops of souvenirs and sweets.
