This is a great walkway. It goes through several sections of terrain, little towns and parallels Highway 1. Easy walking and well kept walkways with occasional benches to enjoy the scenery a bit longer.

I really enjoyed the trail, has several spots with gorgeous view of the ocean. Also , a little bit off the trail there is an area of pine trees, like a mini forest, which you can walk under the trees. It is magical!

I've been coming back for several weekends running and other weekends biking the trail. Now that I've done sections of it I'm aiming for the long run in one go. Thank you for keeping this trail. Love it!

I hate hiking but I love walking so this trail was ideal for me as it was gorgeous and easy effort-wise. There's a staircase down to the beach that had nice wide steps which made it easy to go down to the beach and back...More

We were so excited to be staying near this trail. Even reading other reviews, we had planned runs and a bike ride. That is until we went on it. The part near the Ritz veers off inland on rutted trails. Eventually it comes back NEAR...More

Highly recommend this for people who want a very easy hike along an ocean trail. You can navigate your maps to Ritz Carlton- Half Moon Bay. At the entrance, tell the staff that you are here to see the Coastside Trail. The staff gave me...More

We walked this very early in the morning. It was not crowded and we were really able to take in the working harbor attributes. Most fishermen were returning with their catches. There were synchronized trucks coming to pick up the cargo. Loved that aspect of...More

Unless you live in Montara or Moss Beach. But, it's a great path and it's so very scenic. We love parking at the Harbor, running to Half Moon Bay. Stopping at EbbTide Cafe for a coffee, and then ending up at Catch Joanne's for some...More

There is no need pay. You can just find a place to park and hike. We chose to park at Francis Beach and walk to the Ritz Carlton. There was a small fee to park at the beach.
