This is a must-do place when you’re in the area. I Frequently meet friends there, and we often bring a picnic lunch. Great picnic tables and benches, very clean.

Deciding on a place to meet up with friends who were from San Diego, and myself, from Long Beach, we decided on this pristine, picturesque park ( halfway point for both parties). There is ample parking on the street along the side of the park. Lots of trees providing large areas of shade for picnicking, beach chairs, toys, etc. The only drawback of this park is the lack of restrooms! We had to jump in our cars and drive a mile or so to look for restrooms available to the public. There is a wonderful playground for children on a lower level. This park is perfect for the area neighborhood where people are able to just walk home to use their restroom and walk back.

A vast park area with minimum benches, but most people bring a blanket and stretch out on the lush grounds.

We spent an enjoyable afternoon taking in the gorgeous views at Pines Park. It is tucked away in a neighborhood up on a hill. Years ago when I first discovered this park, I wanted to have our wedding ceremony there, but we ended up doing it in a church instead. Pines Park is a perfect place for an outdoor wedding or a simple afternoon stroll.

So pretty and relaxing! Just up the road from Capo Beach and hidden back in a neighborhood. Quiet park for a romantic picnic. Not a lot of parking, Be kind and don't block any of the residents driveways.

Took our grandsons to visit with family at Pines Park for the Easter egg hunt. The City of Dana Point did an amazing job with this event. There was way more candy than the number of kids in attendance so no one went home empty handed.
The park is in a beautiful location right on the bluff overlooking the ocean. There is also a fun playground area for kids as well as some tables for eating. Perfect spot to view sunsets as well!

This has been a favorite of ours for over 40 years. We’ve been to several weddings there, but it’s perfect for picnicking. Whether a blanket on the wonderful grass or the nice tables. There are also well positioned benches with amazing views.

While visiting in the area I decided to take a walk. Pines Park is a great location to visit if you are in the area. It has a beautiful ocean view and has a number of places to sit and enjoy the beautiful California weather. Plan to spend some time because you will not want to leave.
