Capitola Beach, there's just something about it. I love the view, the water, beach, restaurants and bars and the people! It;s one of those places that you just want to keep going back to. If you have not been, you need to visit!

Great family friendly beach for swimming and body boarding. Several restaurants have beach access and an overall cute beach town with several fun festivals throughout the summer and early fall.

This is everything you want in a little getaway. Just an hour out of San Jose, this cute little beach is so clean and friendly. I actually lost my debit card and rental car keys and some wonderful mom left them at the lifeguard station!...More

Kinda the opposite of real Santa Cruz— it’s prettied up for the middle aged suburban people. No style, no energy...Just blah blah blah. Over-priced women’s boutiques combined with T-shirt and trinket shops. A couple of restaurants mixed in. Nice little beach. Crowded parking.

I absolutely love Capitola as a beach town. Each shop has its own character and you are sure to find something of interest. I even found my wedding ring at a little shop. The Thomas Kincade gallery has a large number of Disney paintings that...More

I have family that live in Capitola and it is one of my favorite spots to visit. Great little beach town and clean beach. It is such a great spot to hangout with friends and family and just enjoy the ocean views and breeze.

Capitola is a nice little town. We were there for the wine and art festival. They have a great beach. The claim to fame are the brightly colored houses. Worth a visit.

Love to go to Capitola, hardest part is finding parking, there are city lots up the hill that will take you down to the square, so that works great, do not miss the wonderful restaurants.

After many years of hearing about and seeing photos of Capitola, we finally took a day trip there! It didn’t disappoint. I only wished we had taken stuff for the kids to play on the beach... Highly recommend visiting

Not sure if they have hours posted. I've been there after 10pm and saw a few other people there also. Most other beaches in the area just don't want campfires past 10pm.
