Regularly walk around this area its just beautiful. nice grass area to relax and take in the view or follow the many tracks for a little walk. Cafe nearby which is also pet friendly. Also has a Train Station for Castledare train for the kids.

It is hard to believe that this place is so close to the city. The birdlife on the river is amazing. Darters, Spoonbills, Cormorants, Ducks, Moor hens, Eagles and Hawks all a short paddle up or downstream. The fish wete makibg the water boil there...More

We were in this area for lunch and decided to walk some of the paths near the river. As it was a cool day the experience was very pleasant. Summer could be different as the bush and water could produce snakes and plenty of mosquitos.

Great place to rest while cycling through the area. Great food and staff very helpful. Service was slow due to the crowds that always gather on a nice day. nice view of the park and river.
