We loved our trip to the Observatory! You can see so much in the Cederberg as there is almost no light pollution. We arrived just as the sun was dipping below the horizon and we could already see Jupiter. Looking through the telescope got an even better view of Jupiter and four of its moons.
My daughter wants to be an astronaut so this experience really ignited her curiosity! She asked questions during the expert talk and she has been talking about our visit since.
Even with my basic iPhone camera I was able to photograph the Milky Way. It was really magical.
We'll be back!

We went here on a new moon and it was the most amazing stargazing experience I have ever had. I can stare at the sky the entire night, seeing planets, milky way, and nebulas with my bare eyes.
It starts off with a nice educational program and once the sky is dark, it transforms into a 3D canvas.
This is a perfect activity for families and couples. I just booked my hotel in Clanwilliam and looking forward to our next visit in December, this time with our 5-year-old daughter!
Many thanks to the team and looking forward to our return at the end of this year.
