There is a reasonably well marked hike past the Kardamyli fortified old town and up to the church. The views are top class the whole way, with some unexpected sights. Walk on past the church and back into town from the other side. A map...More

My wife and I visited Greece May 10-26, 2018, and on May 17 we hiked up to this church. Awesome. We took the long way up and around and it was worth every step. Bring water, snacks, and a map.

It is a long walk (about an hour) to get to the top from Old Town. You can drive right to the church if you want. It is well worth seeing. The views are spectacular.

Beautiful stone church in a very serene area in Kardamili! Worth the visit for an afternoon or a romantic sunset

We walked up from Kardamyli old town in about an hour. The church is just a stage on onevof the well marked walks. It was locked and had few interesting features. Nevertheless a good excuse to sit and rest awhile before carrying on....or returning.

Walked up via the footpath from the old part of Kardimyli. Lovely walk although might be a bit challenging on a hot day. Lovely frescoes inside if you manage to get someone to open the church

Great setting. Lovely walk up from the old town to small church with great surrounding views. Well marked path continues into gorge or up into village of exochorio.

We hiked up the path to the Church and back down to Kardamyli via the dry riverbed through the Gorge with a side trip to the Monastery. It was a long hike but the scenery was worth the effort!!!

Great views but easier to cycle to or drive to than walk to. There is a long walk along a rustic, ramblers path that is quite uneven. If you're looking for an authentic Greek walk this will satisfy that need. Takes about half a morning...More

Slogged up in blistering heat only to find it locked! Beware the temperature is much higher once away from the sea.
