Cafe open - 8am Balcony bar - 9pm until early hours We are located on the beach front with a beautiful view of plakias bay. We serve breakfast, coffee/tea, juices, sandwiches,, salads, desserts, ice creams, wines, cocktails and beers.

This was my second time in Plakias. This wonderful bistro with its so warm owner is the most beautiful place to start the day!
The selection is great, the food fresh and delicious, the coffee and variety quite excellent.
While eating, you can let your eyes wander over the beautiful bay of Plakias.
And the owner has a knack for the ambience and that certain something!

We visited Ostrico during our stay in Plakias , the diner is tastefully decorated modern and very comfortable, padded chairs with cushions, cosy sofa,s, large flat screen tv playing music videos in English during our visit.
We had a mixture of soft drinks, Mythos and Cocktails, Bacardi and coke, our son had a tasty waffle/pancake, it was so relaxing we stayed for hours our final bill £60 Euro, Cocktails cost €7 but are worth the price they tasted absolutely divine.
Nikkos our waiter was very professional , polite and friendly he kept bringing various snacks out for us, crisps, nuts, etc, we would defineatly visit again if we visit Plakias, highly recommended 5 stars due to the comfort of the diner the excellent food, drinks and service, thank you Nikkos for ensuring our visit was positive and thouroughly enjoyable.

We've been to Ostraco every year for the past 4 years for post beach, pre night out drinks and always receive a great welcome.
We decided to have lunch here one day this time, so I went for the Special Club Sandwich with Chicken and Bacon and a lot of fries, my wife had the Tuna Salad and brother-in-law ham and cheese sandwich.
Impressed with mine and my wife's but the sandwich was just that, a flat oval roll with just ham and cheese, no side salad at all! But, he claimed it to be very tasty in deed, as were the other two meals. We did visit the upstairs bar one evening for a quick G&T before going home, nice setting with a good view over the bay.
When in Plakias again will visit again, mainly for drinks though.

Very nice breakfasts with a view across the bay.
Ostraco is also ideally located, with a friendly barman, for cocktails after an evening meal at a nearby taverna.

The cafe bar next door (Gialos) was always our favourite haunt for coffee but it has sadly closed (soon to reopen as a taverna) so Ostraco took it's place for us this year. We sampled drinks, coffees, ice creams, lunch and breakfast during our week's stay visiting usually at least once every day. The service is friendly and the food and drinks are reasonable value and quality. The view across Plakias bay is outstanding.

Ostraco is a long standing favourite of many visitors to Plakias. It has a prime location near the port.
But I sense it was less busy this visit. Fewer locals can afford its prices, and service in the upstairs bar is not good

My girlfriend and I turned up without booking and couldn't believe just how welcome we were made to feel. The food and service was second to none and we will definitely be back in September.

Consistently excellent over the 19 years that Yannis and Sharron have owned this bar. Food and drinks available from early breakfast until very late night drinks. Brilliant and friendly staff, and very cold beers.From 9pm at night Yannis plays great adult rock in the upstairs bar where you can look out at the Plakias bay and watch the hustle of the nightlife in the street below. They have also just bought the takeaway shop on the next corner offering great snacks, sandwiches, cakes, coffees etc. They do a pre order beach service which was very tasty and we will definitely use their takeaway for our journey home next time.

Spent many a pleasant evening after dining ,enjoyed a great selection of cocktails ;coffee and Metaxa. Service was excellent and prompt despite being extremely busy. Had breakfast here on our last day and found it to be brilliant-- best bacon we have ever had in Greece
