If you are looking for something very different, very unique and very special Fusionista Spa & Beauty Salon is for you! We have created a number of one of a kind therapy rooms to choose from including the Wind Chime Room, the Bamboo Room, the Crystal Room, the Candle Room, the Garden Room & the totally unique Koi Mist Room, where one is massaged on a glass island next to a stunning waterfall , surrounded by tropical vegetation, mist and fire as one gazes down on exquisitely coloured Koi fish swimming peacefully below you. Choose from a tantalisingly large variety of spa therapies that will leave you with a sense of deep relaxation whilst our beauty treatments will have you looking at your very best. Book a private Jacuzzi or sauna or our Chill Room with its unique sound therapy bed. You receive a complimentary drink with all treatments (not on special) of 60 minutes or more. Make your experience even more amazing by rounding it off with a delicious meal at our Asian fusion restaurant.

Always love and enjoy coming for massages and meals here ! excellent service, friendly staff, peaceful vibe , & the Koi Mist room is amazing and out of this world!
Stunning set-up, and a great atmosphere :) It is honestly mine and my husbands favorite massage and meal place for date nights. Totally worth it and we will definitely be back for many more date night massages and meals !
The red thai curry is delicious as well! Felt relaxed and rejuvenated after massages.

My wife and I love going here on our date nights. We absoluty love the atmosphere, and the Thai Green Curry is THE BEST. The waitrons are always on point and polite. The cocktails are amazing. Would 100% recommend to anyone for a memorable night.

It was an amazing day at the spa. Lady was excellent and very friendly. All the activities were very clean and need. Staff friendly and sufficient. Had a great experience with my foot. Had an operation 3 years ago and hole ankle and foot are stiff, sometimes very painfull. After session it was so relaxed that I could climb stairs without any effort. Still relaxed after week and no pain. I shall definately visit your spa again. Well done ladies.

Took hubby for his birthday weekend and booked the Koi Mist room and what a treat it was. Such a unique concept and visually beautiful! For someone who generally doesn't enjoy massages, this was a wonderful experience and will certainly be back!

I've been to a few spa's, but this one was by far the most unique and an experience that I'll always remember.
The massage was also very good, they customize it to your liking.
Lastly, the restaurant is a must! The food and service was amazing!

My hubby and I had a great valentines experience and can't wait to book for another massage. The meal afterwards at the restaurant was fantastic too! I would highly recommend both the spa and the restaurant.

My husband and I went for a couples massage today. My husband had the deep tissue and I had the body butter. Both massages were really great with my husband saying it was one of the best he's ever had. The masseuses (Philla and pat/Pam I think 😳) were fantastic with a great sense of humor and great at getting out those damn shoulder stress knots. They were very accommodating to our requests for change in pressure of the Massage. The room was beautifully decorated as was the whole spa. Everyone we came across was helpful and friendly.
Such a great experience and we walked away relaxed and happy.
My only comment would be a bit of music in the rooms would have been nice.
We will definitely be back. Probably with friends!!!

Hi Clowdii - A sincere thank you from us at Fusionista for your positive review. We are so happy that you and your husband both had great massages and we are extremely pleased that your husband had one of his best massages ever 😁. Regarding your comment about the music we do have music in every room, and even have different music playlists, with extremely relaxing music, to choose from. Unfortunately on the day that you were there we had a technical fault with our sound system resulting in us not being able to play music on that day. The fault was fixed the next day. We are very much looking forward to soon treating you and your husband, and hopefully your friends, to great massages, and we can assure you that the next time you visit us there will definitely be music 😁😁

We had booked the Partner Massage special by phone. As we arrived there was a confusion about what is booked and what they offer. It seemed that the receptionist did neither know their offers nor the prices of it. There is a 90-min Partner Massage special with food and a drink for 1100R and a 90-min Massage for 590 per person makes 1180R without food. Unfortunately it was Sunday and the restaurant closes early. So we asked for take away from the offered menus which after a long discussion was agreed.
Lying on the bed already, the therapist starts discussion about the price and service again as the special, according to her, is only for a Swedish massage, which is wrong according to the webpage.
The massage started 15 minutes late, but was ok, best part was the back. Legs and front was more stroking gently than massage. The rooms are nice but the music was extremely loud and aggressive, when we asked the therapist, she tried to turn it down twice, but couldn’t manage.
After the massage the restaurant was already closed, so no take away for us. After a long discussion we got a sort of voucher for next time. Also the 15% birthday discount did not apply on the special. So, for us the normal price would have been cheaper with the discount but we did not start the discussion again.
All in all not a relaxing experience. Price value more on the poor side. If this is the best massage in Joburg I wonder what massage experience the test persons got.

We sincerely regret that problems you set out in your review of Fusionista. On the positive side we note that you state that the massage was okay with the best part being the back and that the rooms are nice.
We work very hard to ensure that our clients have a great experience at Fusionista and so when we receive a negative review we are deeply concerned and upset by it. Approximately 75% of the people who review us Tripadvisor give us 5 stars and of the balance the majority are 4 stars. It is the same on Google. So a 2 star review is particularly concerning to us, although we do note from your other reviews that you give 2 stars more than any other rating.
In order to set the record straight we do need to make the following comments so that readers of your review are able to ascertain the full picture and decide for themselves. When you initially telephoned a few days prior to the appointment you booked two 90 minute massages and you said that you would decide which type of massage when you called in. Upon arrival you wanted to change the massage to the 90 minutes Couples Special. This starts off with a foot massage and is followed by a 90 minute aromatherapy massage for 2 people plus a meal for 2 from our Lunch Menu and drinks from our complimentary drinks menu. At a cost of R 1100 for all of this this is extremely good value and proof of this is evidenced by the fact that we have couples booking this massage every day, sometimes 6 or 7 or more in a day over the past few years. The therapists know full well that it is always an Aromatherapy Massage and not a Swedish massage, as you state, but which is probably what you wanted. You then wanted the 15% birthday discount to be deducted from the cost of this special, whereas it states clearly on the spa menu that the birthday special does not apply to treatments already on special. As a result of you changing your initial booking from two ordinary 90 minute massages and the discussions relating to what the Couples Special entails and whether you could also have the birthday special your massage started very late and ended after the official Sunday closing time of the spa at 5 PM. If your massage had started on time you would have arrived at the restaurant at or about 5 PM and the restaurant would have stayed open for you, even though the official closing time of the restaurant on Sunday is also 5 PM. Unfortunately you finished well after 5 PM by which time the restaurant staff had already left. However you didn't lose out on anything since you were given a voucher to compensate for the meal that you could not have.
Regarding your comment that the legs and the front was more stroking then massage please note that the Couples Massage specifically states that it is an aromatherapy massage, which does have more rubbing. If you want a stronger massage then it would be appropriate to choose a Swedish, Sports or Deep Tissue Massage. So we do not believe it is fair to criticise us for getting the type of massage that you requested.
In respect of the music our sound system was knocked out by lightning and we were operating on a backup sound system, but unfortunately the speaker volumes were louder in some rooms and softer in other rooms, so we had to try to balance it so that at least everyone could get some sound. This problem was fixed the next day. The actual music is extremely relaxing and we have only had positive comments on the music played. We even have a number of different relaxing playlists to choose from.
Your comment that it would have been cheaper to take the birthday discount is not correct, since you have not taken into account the fact that the Couples Special includes a meal and drinks for 2, and the birthday special only applies to the person having a birthday.
Apropos your final comments regarding the person who did the test massage (and who rated Fusionista so highly) this person received exactly the same massage that customers receive.
