This place is so special - its my favourite place near Gauteng. Its beautiful in mid winter and beautiful all year around. It is only for people who have a passionate love of nature and who want to be somewhere exceptionally special but still close...More

Management does a great job of restricting numbers, so that guests can enjoy the peace and quite in this beautiful setting. There are lovely mountain walks and the paths are clearly marked. The campsites are large and the ablutions clean and well maintained. Pity that...More

If you want a quiet relaxing experience this is it. The only way to make it more quiet and relaxing is to ban small children (but apparently that's frowned apon). Big stands (not the mist shade) clean, spacious bathrooms with warm water. Will definately come...More

We really enjoyed the trails and views. So close to cities and so wild. The sites for tents are really spacious, and the place has a rustic feel, which I really like. The sanctuary has lovely trails to the gorges and pools on the river...beautiful...More

Lovely hikes although not well sign posted. Got very lost as a result. Nice accomodation in log cabins although pricy for what you get. Nice getaway though

We visited Mountain Sanctuary for a hiking day. All details were booked and paid upfront so reception was swift and easy. After filling out the necessary documents we went on our way with the route description at hand. There were moments we became uncertain if...More

Dear Sir. The magaliesburg is a natural protected area, I understand getting slightly lost is frustrating however painting on the rocks is not only illegal but goes against our conservation ethics. I am however glad you still enjoyed your day. kind regards Owen
