This was one of 2 boats hired to take us out to watch albatrosses and other seabirds south of Cape Point. They had to go much further than expected to catch up with the trawlers in order to see the main feeding flocks but nothing was too much trouble, they got us onto the birds and provided lunch! The highlight... More

We had a really great time on the boat. Its a realy good way to view cape point and get amazing picutes from the water. Alan also has good knowledge of the area and has a ton of knowledge to share. Really great experience

Exceptional day's yellowfin tuna fishing with Alan and his son Jason. As a very experienced fisherman, I'm extremely fussy! And it turned out to be an exceptional trip - decent quality gear, great company from father and son, very good skippering (and a lot of obliging tuna). Good food too, and Alan is also a very experienced pelagic birdwatcher, so... More

Hey Alan and Dusty - awesome days fishing for the boys and nice of you to throw the whale close encounters in there at the end of the day. Unforgettable day!

What a trip. Allan and Jay took us 28 miles off Cape Point. We hooked up on Yellow Tails and I caught a 40 kilo Yellow Fin Tuna and my buddy Rick caught a 90 kilo Yellow Fin. We latched on to a couple of others that were possibly even larger but lost them but that is fishing. It was... More

I had a day in my short holiday in April 2016 in Simons Town to fill with entertainment of my choice an I am really glad I was referred to Alan for a day of deep sea fishing on the DESTINY. Alan went to great lengths to speak to all his contacts and to put us onto descent fish. It... More

We went out with Alan on Friday 15th April for a tuna fishing charter and had the most excellent day. Alan is a superb host and freely shares his knowledge of the land, sea and the creatures that inhabit it. Jason was deck hand for the day and was great company and always on hand to help. The fishing was... More

Alan is one of the most humble and considerate men of the sea. He always goes out of his way to please everyone. For his experience of the ocean and local conditions, we often consult him for his opinion and advice. The weather off Cape Point is mostly unpredictable and if Alan calls a trip off, it would be for... More

The weather was very windy when we were in Cape Town in January 2016, so instead of taking a boat trip, we hired Alan to drive us to Boulders Beach and Cape Point. The whole tour was absolutely wonderful, and Alan is not only charming but also incredibly knowledgable about the areas we visited. We had a fantastic morning, and... More

We spent the morning at Seal Island trying our luck to see some sharks early in the year. We had so much fun photographing and seeing and learning about them. The boat was comfortable and fun. I would recommend to anyone looking for a morning at sea, nature lovers and anyone wanting a spectacular perspective of Cape Town. Great service!
