I saw the wonderful penguin colony (African penguins). A very interesting flora and fauna. It's very important to be sunny for a very good trip.

We'd just come out of the Naval Museum - which was slightly underwhelming, and thought we'd give this one a go too. From the outside you could understand why the various occupants had favoured it so much - with a commanding view across the bay,...More

It's unique, albeit small. The history of Simonstown when it was a Royal Navy base, very interesting if you like that kind of thing

I wasn't holding out too much hope for this one, but was very pleasantly surprised at just how much information was provided and what a wide scope they covered. It is a shame that they haven't had more funding to better make use of the...More

Lovely Museum with very many interesting exhibits, taking us back in a rich history. There is also a Toy Museum nearby, as well as the Naval Museum, and whilst you are in the area, visit the Statue of "Just Nuisance" the famous dog on the square.

My husband and I enjoy every bit of the museum, it was a wonderful insight into Simon's Town and it's history. It was lovingly maintained and the staff were warm and welcoming. We would've liked a bit more time to read the displayed information but...More

Wish their funding was more generous, with more money to spend on the displays, but what a great try! Good luck and great show

Wonderful little museum, interesting exhibits, and well kept. Very under-rated, and well worth the stop and support this little place of history

The beach is beautiful and the penguins are amazing, it is a must visit in Cape Town. It has an appeal to all ages. You can watch for hours or even swim with them is you do not mind the cold water.

I believe there is, but please confirm with Cathy at the museum. One can't include links in replies, but if you go to the Simon's Town Museum webpage, it is given there. Safe travels and enjoy!
