About
We are situated just south of the picturesque village of Simon's Town adjacent to Boulders Beach, on the way to Cape Point. Our restaurant is open for breakfast and lunch every day. The clubhouse has a lounge, sport satellite TV, a pool table, outdoor braai(bbq) facilities, and a smokers' patio. This 9 hole links course has a championship length of 4176 metres, with the mens' club distance measuring 4038 metres and the ladies 3840 metres, and a course rating of 62 for men and 64 for ladies respectively.Your golfing journey is not complete until you have in played on our course, along the shores of False Bay. There are spectacular views of the sea and mountains from every tee & green. One of the features of our course is small greens; the course may be short but greens can be difficult to hit. The course also has a natural slope towards the sea, and visitors do find this aspect interesting. The Simon's Town Golf Club was founded in 1913 and is the only 9 hole course on the Cape Peninsula. We are affiliated to the South African Golf Association (SAGA) and are a member of the Western Province Golf Union (WPGU).We extend a warm South African welcome to you.

Tight course nestled between the mountain slopes and False Bay. Dry fairways with sparse grass coverage on greens. Greens resemble a day two cricket pitch. Postcard esque ocean views which diverts attention from the below average course condition. Service with a smile at tue clubhouse. Pity the pos card machine were out of order. Breakfast is a must

I am not going to kid anyone. This is not the best conditioned golf course in the World, or for that matter, the best golf course. The club facilities would not in any way be described as top notch either. What no spa? Having said that, if you want a very friendly club in a truly spectacular setting then this certainly ticks all the boxes. My golf group - The Hout Bay Rebels - arrived at the club and were warmly greeted by Sean and we all were then treated to a really great full English breakfast and pots of tea - no bag in a cup here! As a group we were aware that the greens were probably not going to be quite up to scratch so we improvised and played a Texas Scramble. Our 20 strong group thoroughly enjoyed the stunning scenery as we plotted our way down to the beach side - think Pebble Beach with penguins! We had a great game and then enjoyed a braai outside in the sunshine with a beer or two. As a day out we all gave it 5*. Great welcome, great value and great fun. My cost for the day including breakfast, golf and a couple of post golf libations was less than R300. Five star golf it is not. Five star fun it certainly is and that is what it is all about when you have a game with some mates. Go and give it a try.

A bra golf course overlooking false bay and the penguins. Nine short tricky holes. Cosy clubhouse. Small shop. Big bar.

Our family celebrated a family member's birthday in October. All the food served was very well prepared and extremely tasty. Service was excellent too. Very reasonably priced food. Lovely setting.

Decided to play nine holes so popped in and got tee time immediately. Friendly Pro and reasonable price for golf and couple of trolleys. Course brown through lack of rain. Greens are getting a bit of watering but not as much as needed. Wife lost a ball into reservoir but it was fished out and sold back for ZAR 2.
We enjoyed the two hour stroll around the cliff top but the golf wasn’t up to scratch.

I have been trying to arrange an function at Simons Town Country Club for 2 months now. Phillip was very fast in responding with all the details regarding the cost and facilities but to date I have been battling to get ANY form on information from your caterer. It is absolutely terrible that and potential client has to beg to get any for of service!

Whilst this is a 9 hole Links type course, you have the most amazing views from everywhere on the course, right across False Bay. Although this is a members club, they also cater for walk ins as there is no need to book a Tee off time most of the time. Its a really friendly and welcoming club and the first person you will see is Phil who will attend to all your needs like club or buggy hire. Fees are really affordable and all of the staff there right through to Jackie who runs the catering are wonderful. Try some lunch at Jackies after your round...really good food at really good prices. All in all a great day out.

We only stopped by to visit and have drinks. The place feels like it was locked in to 1966 and hoping that life wouldn't change.

Golf course is a short 9 hole course, stunning views. Well worth a trip, especially in winter when the course is greener and the South Easter settles down. Can recommend the breakfasts and calamari at the club house.
